teradesa.com Ryan Mauro, a researcher and YouTuber, revealed the fact that the place where Moses received revelation was not in Egypt.
According to the book of Exodus in the Bible, Prophet Moses led the Israelites to Mount Sinai which was shrouded in fire, smoke and thunder.
This holy mountain is one of the holiest places for Judaism, Christianity and Islam because it was there that Moses received two stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments from God.
Mount Sinai is on a mountain in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and is likely the same mountain as in the Bible.
But according to Mauro’s research, Mount Sinai is not only as told by the Bible, which is in Egypt, but in Saudi Arabia.
As seen in his documentary “Finding the Mountain of Moses: the Real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia”, the researcher gained access to several historical sites in Middle Eastern countries that coincide with the story of Moses.
“One of the main reasons certain scholars claim that the Exodus is a myth is because little or no evidence of what the Bible records has been found on the traditional Mount Sinai in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula,” he told The Sun.
“But what if these scholars are really looking in the wrong place?”
“Move to the Arabian Peninsula and you will find very strong evidence that matches the biblical record.”
Ryan Mauro says the actual holy mountain is based in the northwestern province of Saudi Arabia and his theory is supported by some evidence. Mauro also claims he found in the same region the towering split rock described in the Bible.
“We believe this distinct landmark could be the rock that God told Moses to strike whose water then gushed out, miraculously meeting the needs of the Israelites.”
He also found the site of an ancient altar that could house 12 biblical pillars representing the 12 tribes of Israel on the side. So far nine pillars have been found.
“Close to the mountain, we have this site filled with images of people worshipping oxen and cows,” said the Youtuber with 60,000 subscribers.
“And what’s really important is that these petroglyphs are isolated in this area”.
“It’s not like they’re carved all over the mountain,”
This discovery matches the Golden Calf incident in the Bible, where the Israelites began worshiping Egyptian gods in Moses’ absence.
When he returned, the calf worshippers were killed for their idolatry. Signs of graves were found in the same place that Mauro claims is the original Mount Sinai.
